Spook-tacular Halloween Costumes for Kids

Halloween is just around the corner, and we know how eager little ones are to trick-or-treat in style! As a mom, Halloween costumes can become both overwhelming and expensive really fast but I’m here to tell you that it doesn’t have to be this way. With some pieces easily found at Talize, make 2023 the year where you say goodbye to spending $100 on a costume and say hello to saving money by doing your very own DIY version of this year’s trendiest costumes. Need some help? I’ve got your back – here’s where you can start!

1. Super Mario or Luigi

Take a look at your local Talize for a pair of overalls. It doesn’t matter the colour, if you find a pair that aren’t the classic blue jean it’ll just make your costume more unique. Pair them with a red or green shirt and cap and you’ve got your costume!

2. Ash Ketchum from Pokémon

This is a really simple look that is so easy to put together. As we approach colder weather, your local Talize should be stocked with lots of outerwear. Find a light or heavier vest and pair it with a white t-shirt and a blue or red ball-cap and you’ll look ready to catch ‘em all!

3. Barbie Girl

Quite possibly the trendiest costume this season, and one of the easiest to DIY. Head to Talize and keep your eyes open for the pinkest, sparkliest (if that’s a word) clothing. I chose a pink sweater dress that’s giving total 90’s Barbie vibes with the cassette decal, or a sparkly gymnastics bodysuit that you can pair with some tights and leg warmers, and you have a Dance Superstar Barbie!

4. The Little Mermaid

Purple on top and bluish green on the bottom is what you’ll need to keep in mind when it comes to matching your little one to their favourite princess Ariel. Keep an eye out for dresses, tutus or dancewear at your local Talize for this one too – you’ll never guess what you can find!

If DIY isn’t typically your jam or you’re just struggling to find the time to put together a costume, Talize also has packaged and ready to go costumes to help you make it easier on yourself this Halloween. I even snagged a brand new in bag costume for my 1.5-year-old for $10 and for that price you truly can’t beat it. For the DIY-ers and for the parents that just want something that’s ready to go – make Talize your one stop shop for everything spooky, magical and all-around fun.
